RMHC #CardChallenge

red-squiggle

We are all experiencing challenges these days, but imagine if you were a family isolated with all the fear and stress of also having a sick or hospitalized child.

When the Jolivard family was dealing with treatments for Daniel far from home, they found refuge through RMHC because they could all be together.  Mom Rachel said that the support from the staff and volunteers at the Ronald McDonald House helped make the family stronger and better able to cope.

“It made you feel like you were not alone,” Junior said.

“Despite ongoing struggles or even the toughest of times, when we are with each other, there’s always happiness,” Rachel said.

“I cannot think of anything more important than being by my son’s side to help him fight, to comfort him and to celebrate those special moments and small victories”, Rachel said.

With RMHC volunteer activities suspended and fundraising events postponed or rescheduled, most of the 260+ RMHC Chapters around the world are in urgent need of support to continue to provide care and resources and refuge to their communities and families who need them. Families like the Jolivards.

That is why we need you to participate in the #CardChallenge. You can join countless supporters in helping us meet our goal of raising $3 million for the RMHC Chapter Emergency Response Fund. It’s easy to get started!

  1. Build a card house.
  2. Post a photo or video to social media using #CardChallenge
  3. Challenge three friends or family members to “Build It Bigger Or Donate.”
  4. Don’t want to participate, but still want to help? You can make a contribution to the New Orleans Ronald McDonald House. Donate now!

We believe we all get better together. And if we can’t be together, we can still work together to help the RMHC system continue to provide compassionate care and resources in their communities.
