Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Louisiana, Inc. has established policies and procedures for those seeking to plan events to benefit our organization. Please review these policies and procedures carefully. Upon written approval of your proposal, these policies and procedures become part of your agreement with Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Louisiana, Inc. and you will be responsible for compliance.
For purposes of this agreement, “you” means your organization, group or individual sponsoring or holding the event. “We, us, our, RMHC, RMHC-SLA, or RMHCofSLA” means Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Louisiana, Inc.
RMHC-SLA may only be identified as the beneficiary of your event and not as the host, presenter, or sponsor of the event.
RMHC-SLA requires accurate use of its name and logo in all promotional materials. Approval must be obtained from RMHC-SLA for the use of its name and logo. Copies of all publicity (TV, radio, print, etc.) using the RMHC name and/or logo are to be submitted for approval prior to printing or distribution.
The event may not compete or conflict with any already established or scheduled event to benefit RMHC-SLA. A calendar of events will be maintained by RMHC-SLA and events will be approved according to timing and spacing of other RMHC events.
RMHC-SLA assistance in marketing and promotion will be evaluated for each individual event. RMHC-SLA may promote the event when appropriate, though not guaranteed. RMHC-SLA reserves the right to use event photos or promotional information for the third party event for the benefit of RMHC-SLA.
RMHC-SLA does not provide any financial assistance for production costs, insurance or other expenses for third party events.
You will hold McDonald’s, its subsidiaries, affiliates, and franchisees, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Inc. the Organization and their respective trustees, directors, officers, employees, volunteers, and agents harmless from and against and all claims, liabilities, judgments, penalties, settlements, losses, damages, and expenses, including court costs and reasonable attorney’s fees, incurred or suffered by these parties in connection with or as a result of the event.
RMHC-SLA does not facilitate requests to the McDonald’s Corporation, or their suppliers, for sponsorship of third party events. Approval of your event application does not constitute any relationship with McDonald’s Corporation.
You will provide RMHC-SLA with a list of targeted sponsors for your event before they are approached. Please remember that many individuals and businesses already support RMHC-SLA and may not wish to make additional donations.
RMHC-SLA will not solicit participation from our clients/volunteers/supporters in any third party event beyond notifying them of the event details and inviting them to attend when appropriate.
All monies collected and/or raised on behalf of RMHC-SLA will be presented to RMHC-SLA within 30 days after the event.
Only checks made payable to RMHC-SLA can be provided with a tax-deductible acknowledgement letter.
Third-party event organizers are responsible for the planning and execution of the event, including all set-up, promotion, staffing and/or volunteers, and liability.
You understand that Ronald McDonald is busy spreading smiles and is not always guaranteed to make an appearance due to his availability.
Organizations who wish to request the presence of RMHC-SLA volunteers or staff representatives should make their request at least thirty (30) days prior to the event to allow sufficient time for such individuals to be contacted and scheduled to attend. However, RMHC-SLA cannot guarantee the presence of volunteers or staff for any third party event.
