Corey Staehle, Executive Director
Corey has been with Ronald McDonald House Charities® of South Louisiana since 2002 when she started out as a volunteer and was hired as an administrative assistant the same year. As Executive Director, Corey brings in all of her experience and education to continue leading our House to the highest of standards. Steve Faure, Communications Manager
A New Orleans native and staff member since 2013, Steve brings his background in a variety of careers to his service at Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Louisiana. An avid photographer and self-taught technical enthusiast, he oversees the House IT and security infrastructure, and assists the executive director with marketing, development, social media, public relations, house operations, event planning, office administration, transportation and guest services as needed. Bob Van Den Akker, Community Engagement and Fundraising Manager
Bob has been actively involved with Ronald McDonald House for over 20 years and has served on its Board of Directors for the past 17 years. Bob transitioned to staff in 2019 bringing with him over 30 years of sales and marketing experience. Bob is a native of New Orleans and currently resides in Kenner with his wife Gloria.
Jennifer Wilson, Family Services and Programs Supervisor
Jennifer started as a volunteer with the Ronald McDonald House in early 2018 before becoming the Family Services Coordinator. Originally from Nova Scotia, Canada, Jennifer lived in Brooklyn, NY for ten years where she completed graduate degrees at Rutgers University and The New School for Social Research. Xiomara Mendoza, Housekeeper
Xiomara is a native of Honduras who has lived in the U.S. since 1992, and became a proud citizen in 2002. She worked in a variety of customer service fields before joining our staff in 2013. Xiomara works tirelessly to ensure the House is always clean and our rooms are spotless for incoming guests.
DaVona Smith, Family Services Agent
DaVona is an New Orleans native. She started as a volunteer with the Ronald McDonald House in 2012-2013 as a high school student, before becoming an Family Services Associate in February 2019. She studies Sociology at Alcorn State University in Lorman, Mississippi. DaVona is an aspiring group therapist with intentions of opening a facility doing Marriage, Adolescent, and Family Counseling. Krystal Citty, Family Services Agent
Krystal was born and raised in California’s Bay Area, and graduated from California State University with a degree in Human Development, with an adolescent development option. She loves animals; enjoys traveling, meeting people and learning about new cultures. She currently lives in New Orleans, and is studying American Sign Language and Spanish. Eugene Thibodeaux, Morning Driver
Eugene is a life-long resident of New Orleans’ Westbank and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. After serving our country during tours of duty in Europe, he began a career at the Mobile Oil refinery in Chalmette. Now retired, Eugene has been our Morning Driver since July of 2014. He and his wife of 33 years, Paula, have three children and one grandson.
Charles Wright, Evening Driver
Charles is a New Orleans native, and presently a resident of the Westbank. He joined our staff as our Evening Driver in late 2013. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Charles served 3 years on a P-3 Orion maritime surveillance squad attached to the USS America.
