The Director of Development for RMHC-SLA will be responsible for the planning and implementation of a comprehensive philanthropy program. S/he will develop and implement a multi-year, philanthropic vision and plan to support the strategic goals of the organization. This position will be empowered to lead fundraising activity to include prospect identification and research, cultivating and communications strategies, proposal development, solicitation strategies, donor stewardship, and constituency/database management. S/he will report to the Executive Director, and also work closely with the Board of Directors, volunteers and other members of the RMHC-SLA staff to establish and meet fundraising goals. The Family Services Associate is primarily responsible for managing all paperwork pertaining to guest referrals and check ins, checking guests into the House, responding to guest needs, enforcing House rules and ensuring the safety of the guests, supervising volunteers and performing various housekeeping duties as required.
The Family Services Associate works on their own and therefore needs to be a self-motivated individual who is organized, compassionate, reliable, able to make critical decisions, and who works well with people. This job requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This position reports directly to the Family Services and Programs Manager.
