Thirty-five teams competed in the second annual Kids & Clays Open March 1 in New Iberia raising approximately $84,000 with net proceeds going to Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Louisiana’s (RMHC-SLA) mission of providing a home away from home for critically ill children and their families.

“We are beyond grateful for the funds raised by our second annual event,” said Grace McIntosh, executive director of RMHC-SLA. “We extend our thanks to Kids and Clays, McDonald’s owner-operators and the McIlhenny Company for their invaluable partnership, which made this event a reality. The net proceeds will go towards providing our families with the basic comforts of home during the most challenging time of their lives.”

The two-day event commenced with an exclusive Patron Party held on Avery Island, showcasing specialty food and cocktails. The following day, 35 teams participated in the sporting clays event on Jefferson Island, which included a 72-bird round set on a professionally designed Promatic course.

The Kids & Clays Foundation’s mission is to help local RMHC Chapters raise funds through sporting clay events around the country.
